And that is that.

The Premier League season ended on Sunday with Tottenham staying up at the expense of West Ham, Sunderland sensationally securing European football, and Arsenal finally getting their hands on the Premier League trophy for the first time in 22 years.

In this week’s SVQ, we’ll bring you some of our favourite stats of the Premier League campaign, while we’ll also say goodbye to a legend of the competition in Mohamed Salah, who played his final game for Liverpool.

We’ll also have our final quiz of the season and an Ask Opta question fitting of the occasion.

Don’t worry about your weekly SVQ dose, though, we’re going nowhere. In fact, you can expect to see a lot more of us in the coming weeks…

🌎 SVQ: World Cup Edition

We’re just 16 days away from the opening game of the 2026 World Cup.

With an expanded 48-country edition, it’ll be quite the task to keep across everything, but we here at Opta Analyst want to be as helpful as possible in aiding our subscribers to do just that.

From next week, Stat, Viz, Quiz will be a little different. Firstly, you will not receive your usual Tuesday edition. Instead, you will get one on Monday, and Wednesday, and Friday. Yes, we are sending out three SVQs in the first week of June as we preview the tournament in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

Then, from 8 June, you will receive a fresh SVQ to your inbox each day from Monday to Friday. That’s five a week, each with the latest World Cup data stories, interesting Opta facts, and plenty of trivia to keep you across the latest goings on.

If you know someone who isn’t already subscribed to Stat, Viz, Quiz, send them right here to join the party for FREE.
