If you support a Premier League team in north London, you probably had a nice weekend, aside from maybe a bit of annoyance at your local rivals also winning.

Tottenham and Arsenal earned potentially massive victories in their respective battles for survival and the title. On top of that, their closest competitors dropped points, with West Ham losing at Brentford on Saturday before Manchester City drew dramatically at Everton on Monday.

First-half goals from Conor Gallagher and Richarlison sealed the win, despite Emi Buendía’s late consolation.

Following their 1-0 victory at Wolves the previous weekend, it means Spurs have won consecutive league matches for the first time since their opening two games of the season (wins vs Burnley and Manchester City).
